Guarantee Policy

The League of Trades Guarantee Policy (Policy) applies between League of Trades Ltd (League of Trades, We, Us, Our) and you (You, Your) if you wish to submit a request for reimbursement (Reimbursement Request) under the League of Trades Guarantee (Guarantee) as set out below.

About Us

We are League of Trades Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15713078.    Our registered office at Lychett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA.

Introduction

The Guarantee may help protect You when You pay for services from an eligible trades business (Tradesperson, Tradespeople) via the League of Trades Website (Website), at no cost to you. You’ll find the League of Trades Guarantee Badge on eligible Tradespersons League of Trades profile page.

We may, at Our absolute sole discretion, reimburse You for sub-standard work which has been completed, subject to a maximum of one Reimbursement Request per household per year (Annual Reimbursement Limit), with a lifetime limit of £1000, which is the maximum aggregated amount You could be reimbursed by Us for all work paid via the Website (Lifetime Limit).

To qualify for possible reimbursement:

– Work carried out must be completed and paid to the Tradesperson through the Website.

– You must register the guarantee on the Website (Guarantee Registration) within seven days of making payment.

– You must not of exceed the Annual Reimbursement Limit or Lifetime Limit.

We won’t consider reimbursements for:

– Callout/ travel charges or diagnostic fees.

– Responsiveness or failure to start or complete the work.

– Work that has been rectified, or costs reimbursed.

– Damages to property.

– Dissatisfaction with price.

– Add-on or future services.

– Any work paid not paid for in full via the Website.

– Any work where you have not completed the Guarantee Registration.

How it works

1) Contact the Tradesperson directly, to work through any concerns with the standard of work.

2) Allow the Tradesperson seven days from contacting them to agree what action they will take to rectify the sub-standard work or re-imburse You for any costs incurred.

3) If You are unable to resolve Your concerns directly with the Tradesperson, complete a Reimbursement Request: leagueoftrades/reimbursement-request. You will also be asked to provide the following:

a) An invoice for the sub-standard work that clearly shows the following:

      – Tradesperson’s details (This must match the details on their profile on the Website).

      –  The amount in £ of the invoice (This must match with the amount the Tradesperson billed You via The Website).

b) Provide date stamped photographic evidence clearly showing the sub-standard work carried out.

c) Provide records of correspondence with the Tradesperson including copies of any emails, text messages and also details of phone and face to face conversations that you have had with the Tradesperson.

Note: We may request additional information about Your Reimbursement Request at any time.

Decision of Reimbursement Request

Once the Reimbursement Request has been fully assessed We shall notify You of our decision within seven days of the date we have completed Our assessment.

The decision made by Us, relating to the Reimbursement Request is final.

Any payments or reimbursements made to You by League of Trades under the Guarantee are made at Our absolute sole discretion.

General Terms

League of Trades reserves the right to modify the Policy at its discretion. Any revised version becomes applicable to all Reimbursement Requests made on or after the new version date. Requests predating the new version will adhere to the prior version of The Policy.

League of Trades maintains the authority to terminate the Guarantee at any time for any reason. If feasible, pending Reimbursement Requests will be processed.

In the event of a material breach of the Policy, We may exclude You from participating in the Guarantee, based on Our reasonable opinion.

The Policy is subject to English law, and both parties agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
