Here's how to make a request for reimbursement in accordance with the League of Trades Workmanship Guarantee:
Step 1
Contact the tradesperson directly to work through any concerns. Allow the tradesperson 7 days from contacting them to agree what action they will take to rectify the sub-standard work or reimburse you for any costs incurred.
Step 2
Check that your request does not fall under one of our following exclusions:
Callout / travel charges or diagnostic fees.
Responsiveness or failure to start or complete the work.
Work that has been rectified, or costs reimbursed.
Damage to property.
Disatisfaction with price.
Add-on or future services.
Any work not paid in full via our website or where you have not completed the guarantee registration.
Where you have already exceeded the annual reimbursement limit or lifetime limit.
Step 3
Ensure you have the following information, as this will be requested:
An invoice with the sub-standard work that clearly shows the tradespersons details and the total amount paid.
Date stamped photographic evidence showing the sub-standard work carried out.
Records of correspondence with the tradesperson including copies of emails, text messages and details of phone and face to face conversations.
